What Lies Beneath is a bright, bold abstract piece that tells a story of personal growth and transformation. We all have a history—our hurts, hang-ups, and habits—that we’ve either worked through, are working on, or aren't quite ready to face. This painting reflects that journey. Originally, it started as a beach scene, but that became part of a Memories painting. Then, it was meant to be a Monet-inspired lily pond, which also found its way into another Memories piece. Traces of these earlier attempts are still visible beneath the vivid colors, proof that, even from struggles and setbacks, victory can emerge.
