Water Garden is my own take on the vibrant world that Claude Monet so beautifully captured in his work. Monet has always been a huge inspiration to me, and a trip to the Art Institute in Chicago deepened my love for his style. This painting is a glimpse into what I imagine his estate and his painting days must have felt like—while his grounds might have been carefully manicured, my mind sees it as a burst of color and movement. It’s a garden in full bloom, with flowers everywhere, their colors blending and swirling in the light. A gentle pond meanders through the scene, shimmering in the sunlight, adding a sense of tranquility and life to the whole piece. It’s my way of capturing the magic of nature through Monet’s lens.
