Kelly Steller Hrad

Originally from the Land of Enchantment, Albuquerque, NM, I was surrounded by the beauty of nature coupled with  countless  cross-country adventures with my amazing parents, who encouraged  me to take many creative paths.  I caught the painting fever my early teens.  A student in public school and private classes, I was able to experiment with many mediums.  Oils became my clear favorite, a Blue Ribbon at the State Fair the pinnacle of success at the time.  Moving on and away from Albuquerque, painting became a distant memory.   Although art isn’t all about canvas and paint brushes, creative projects were  always part of my everyday. 

Fast forward through many of life’s joys, trials, tribulations and everything in between, the desire to find a source of fulfillment, expression and release became my primary focus.  After spending countless hours roaming galleries with my wonderful husband looking for art to fill our home, I soaked up all that inspiration and the paint brushes and palette knives were quickly back in my hands.  Life has been colorful and my stories are shared through my painting.
